Thank you for stopping by. We hope you'll enjoy your visit to Whitebead's website. Take some time to learn about our school, programs, awards, and the many educational services we offer the students of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma.
Whether you need to find out what's for lunch, learn how to enroll your child, or check out the district calendar, you'll find it all here. While you're visiting, be sure to check out our many pages of helpful links to learning tools for parents, students, and teachers.
Spring storm season is here, and I would like to share with you our severe weather plan. I have a weather alert system in my office and a designated employee, with television access, to keep me informed of possible bad weather. If a dangerous storm is coming our way and we have adequate time, we will let school out early and call parents to pick up their children or get permission to put them on the bus.
If we have not been able to contact you, your child will stay here at school and take cover. Your child’s teacher will be the person contacting you under these circumstances so please be certain that he/she has both a current and accessible daytime phone number. It would also be helpful if they have a backup person and number to call. Time is a key element in the effectiveness of this plan. If you are called under these emergency circumstances, go directly to the classroom and pick up your child. Hopefully, we will never have to put this in action, but I believe it will put everyone at ease to know that we do have a plan.
It is always exciting when the school and community come together to facilitate a project. And our annual Whitebead Bean/Tamale Supper sponsored by the school PTO was a project “deluxe” last Friday night. The PTO did a fabulous job and all their hard work paid off. If you missed it, join us next year for an evening of fellowship, entertainment and great food.
